FAQ

Full Spectrum

Full spectrum CBD products are guaranteed by 3rd party testing to meet the federal
standard of .3% THC or less. Why would a health practitioner recommend a full spectrum
product? A full spectrum product has other Cannabinoids and terpenes remaining in it that
provide what is called the “full entourage” effect. Some practitioners believe that this effect
helps patients achieve more of the results they are looking for regarding a balanced CBD
product.

SEE COLLECTION

  • CBD stands for Cannabidiol, and it is one of over 170 different phytochemicals (plant based compounds) found in the Hemp plant. Other compounds found in the Hemp plant are terpenes, various forms of THC, as well as other cannabinoids similar to CBD.
  • Yes. Due to the 2018 Farm Bill CBD is legal in the US. There are certain parameters around this meaning that commercial CBD has to be harvested from certified Hemp plants and not Marijuana plants.
  • CBD is available everywhere, but that doesn’t mean the quality is what you expect it to be. CBD does have some very legitimate medicinal benefits that can help many people that may be suffering with various ailments. The doctors we work with are very educated on CBD, what it can and cannot do, level of dosing, as well as possible side effects or drug interactions you may need to be aware of.
  • If you by CBD in a vape shop or online you may be getting a 3rd party test called a Certificate of Analysis on that current batch or you may not. If you do get one it may only be for the CBD content, next level of testing would be the CBD/THC content, next is CBD/THC/and Terpenes. Our testing regimen is called “Full Panel” testing and it involves CBD/THC/ Terpenes, pesticides, fertilizer, heavy metals, solvents and general filth. That is how we guarantee a medical grade product. Your batch number on the label of your bottle gives you the number of the test which can be found in that products section on the website.
  • CBD works by restoring and supporting your body’s Endocannabinoid system. This is a regulatory system inside your body that helps to maintain homeostasis throughout your body’s systems. This means that everything (immune, hormonal, endocrine, inflammatory, neurological) is running as it should. Your doctor may recommend CBD to help you get back to a normal level of wellness depending on your diagnosis.
  • CBD will not get you high. Depending on the dosage your doctor recommends, you may not notice anything. This does not mean the CBD isn’t working. It may take time for it to do what your doctor wants it to in your treatment. At higher doses some patients report an almost immediate calming/relaxing effect. This can also depend on the formula your doctor recommends and which terpenes are also in that particular formula. Each patient can expect different results, but you should notice over time, that your body is responding and you are gaining an improved feeling of wellness if you comply with the doctor’s treatment plan.
  • Full spectrum is a CBD product that has not been refined as much as an isolate. What this means is that it still has trace amounts of THC and may very possibly show up on a drug screening test. At Medline RX we only carry Isolates due to most doctors’ concerns that their patients could test positive if they recommend a Full Spectrum CBD. Our formulas are not just CBD, but have medicinal terpenes (i.e. Limonene, Myrcene, Beta-Caryophyllene) added back into the formula to you’re your doctor address more specific clinical conditions.

Isolates

An Isolate is exactly that, it is an isolated form of nothing but pure Cannabidiol meaning it
contains less than 0.0mg of THC. A healthcare professional may recommend this product to
patients that are subject to any form of drug or toxicology testing. All of the Medline Rx CBD
isolates are subject to 3rd party lab testing to ensure they meet the standards of being
qualified as an isolate.

CBG

As you know we are always improving our formulas to bring you and your patients the latest formulations based on the latest developments in the industry. Our new CBG formula has been developed to provide a stronger platform for healing and homeostasis by increasing the amount of phytochemicals called Terpenes. The previous formula had no terpenes, only CBD and CBG. Each terpene has it’s own individual medicinal qualities  The new formula has a proprietary blend of Beta-Caryophyllene, Limonene, Myrcene, Humulene and Linalool. This blend can provide patients with a vast spectrum of healing benefits that may include Anxiolytic, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, muscle relaxation, and very strong possible support for increased homeostasis.

Why less CBD?? The previous formula had 50mg CBD with 50mg CBG. This was a very strong dose of Cannabinoids and Cannabinoids can potentially burden the CYP-450 detoxification system. This may not be the best benefit for patients seeking long term remedy for their clinical ailments. By decreasing the CBD load to 25mgs yet maintaining the 50mgs of CBG we can potentially enhance the effects of the CBG through the terpene levels. This provides a better long-term, well balanced, remedy for patients that may already be taking medications that may be toxic to the liver or kidneys.
